  • March 9, 2021 AY2020 Program Completion Ceremony
The completion ceremony was held online, with a total of 37 participants present. Except for the Well-being students, program professors joined in great number, along with the Well-being alumni, faculties and former students. In the beginning, students and participants were addressed by Prof. Tsukamura, the program coordinator, and Prof. Kawakita, vice president of Nagoya University. After their warm messages and words of encouragement, Prof. Tsukamura announced completion certificate awardees, a total of seven students from departments of Bioagricultural sciences (3), Medicine (1), Health Science (2) and Education (1). All students of the 3rd batch received their credit certificates. On behalf of the 3rd batch, Mr. Mizutani delivered his address and reflected on his time at the Well-being program and how it changed his perspective on diversity. It was rewarding to hear how the students appreciated the role of the Well-being program in their development into global-minded experts ready to rise further into the realization of their professional dreams. Towards the end of the ceremony, all program professors and alumni briefly greeted the students and offered words of support, advice and best wishes for their future. After the meeting was officially closed, a group photograph was taken. Certificates of completion were delivered to the students on a separate occasion.Photo Gallery

    (Special Lecture on Multicultural Societies)
    report[PDF]
This year's Cross-cultural Talk was held online to reduce the possible risk of spreading COVID-19. Even though we feared a limited and reduced level of interaction and communication, it turned out we had more participants than we would have in the case of a face-to-face meeting. Students who are currently abroad have joined, as well as former WB faculties who are not currently residing in Nagoya. Also, for many participants schedule adjustment was much easier since there was no need to physically move to different locations. As a result, we in fact had an excellent attendance record and a lot more opportunities for interaction than usual. In total, we had more than 50 participants among which more than half were the students, while the second half consisted of professors and 3 former Well-being program faculties.
