Associate professor, Mukogawa Women's University
Shigeyuki Sato holds a MSc. in Development Administration and Planning, Bristol University (UK) / PhD. (Social Sciences), Waseda University, Served for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) from 1997 and engaged in natural disaster relief operation in 8 countries. Moved to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in 2002 and worked for protection and resettlement of refugees/IDP in Kenya, Liberia, Pakistan, Philippines and Tanzania, served as Senior Protection Officer in Sudan and Ethiopia.
Associate Professor in Mukogawa Women's University from 2020. The major academic interests include international relation, refugee and immigrant studies, and global food security.
