Overseas Fieldwork: Preliminary Field Survey (Vietnam)

Venue : Farmers' houses in Ben Tre Province, Factory of coconut pastry, Tudu Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, and homes using healthcare service
Objective : Training on medical services and agriculture in Vietnam
Research Assistants : 6 participants (2 from Grad. School of Medicine, 4 from other Graduate Schools)
Academic staffs : 4 attendants
Recruitment period: Well-being Office of each Department will decide the internal deadlines. The selection of participants should be finished by June 6 (Fri), 2014.
Abstract: In Ho Chi Minh City we are scheduled to visit Tudu Hospital and attend a study course including lectures about medical system and related issues in Vietnam. To learn more about home healthcare, we plan to visit patient's house accompanied by the medical doctor in-charge. In Ben Tre province, we will visit farms growing vegetables and raising beef cattle where we plan to interview the farmers. While visiting the Factory of coconut pastry, we are going to interview its woman president.
