Date & time November 19, 2018 (Mon) 18:15-19:30
Venue Sakata & Hirata Hall, Nagoya University
(on the ground floor of the building next to Craig's Cafe)

We are happy to announce that Nagoya University and NHK World-Japan will organize an event titled "Nagoya to the World, in Your Words," to be held at Nagoya University on November 19, 2018.

In this event, participants, especially Nagoya University students from across the world, will discuss what Nagoya or Aichi's most interesting characteristics are. After viewing some NHK World's programs featuring Nagoya/Aichi, we will have an open forum on Nagoya's Most Interesting Characteristics, where, in addition to an NHK reporter who is a GSID alum and five representatives of Nagoya University's international students, participants will have a chance to discuss what Nagoya's most interesting characteristics might be, why Nagoya is not so popular among both Japanese and international visitors, and what needs to be done to make Nagoya/ Aichi more attractive. You will be given an opportunity to express your ideas by speaking up from the floor and participating in on-the-spot instant polling too.

By the way, NHK World-Japan has introduced multilingual programs in 17 languages this year, including the information on disaster/emergency-related news. In this event, there will also be a session to disseminate the information on how to access to such multilingual NHK programs and disaster-related information using free application to be installed on your smart phones.
